A great experience for young talent

Another successful qualification for our country and this time one of ours is a protagonist! Matthew Abela has made it to this year’s European Championships that will be held in Carolina Marin’s Hall in Huelva Spain from the 24th-29th April.

Abela is currently ranked in the Top 200 European players and 652 in the World Rankings and this has secured him a ticket to this prestigious competition.

He will be competing with Europe’s big guns like Axelsen, Antonsen, Ouseph, Leverdez and many more! What a great achievement and opportunity to learn for the young player. With this qualification we continue the effort as one nation to get more positive results our way.
