Malta has won the bid to organise the 20th Edition of the Games of the Small States of Europe in 2023. This was officially revealed today during the GSSE General Assembly taking place right now in Montenegro.

Having such games organised in our country is always positive news for our local sports scene. This will be the third time Malta will be organising these games after 1993 and 2003.

The Games of the Small States of Europe is a Multi-sport event and features nine or ten olympic sports and one other sport which may be non-Olympic. Badminton hasn’t been part of the GSSE till now but we all hope that one day we will be part of these beautiful games. In the meantime we look forward to the first edition of the European Small States Badminton Games which will be held in 2020 in Cyprus. A big goodluck to the organisers for a great edition!
