Abela participates in the Czech KaBaL International Karviná 2018

A lot to follow internationally tomorrow. Apart from the much awaited All England, part of the HSBC BWF World Tour Super 1000, the participation of Mark Abela and Sam Cassar in the Israel Junior 2018, we will also have National Men’s Singles Champion Matthew Abela to follow.

Abela will be participating in the KaBaL International Karviná 2018, part of the International Series and tomorrow he will be playing in two categories, the Men’s Singles and the Mixed Doubles with his Czech partner Jana Panochova. Both games to be played close to each other in the morning.

Matthew Abela will be hoping to proceed with his positive run after placing 3rd in the first tournament of the year at the Algeria International where he only lost to the tournament winner Moroccan Bilal Elharab.

Happy with the ‘Centre of Excellence’ training level

Abela, who currently trains at the Badminton Europe Centre of Excellence told us that he is very happy with the level of training and is hoping to continue transforming his hard work to results as he did in Algeria.

Tomorrow at around 11, Abela starts his Mixed Doubles qualification round against Polish pair Dominik Zietek and Wiktoria Adamek and proceeds to the singles qualifying round against Czech Jiří Bureš.

We look forward to follow Matthew tomorrow. Good luck Matthew, Mark and Sam!
