Shuttle Time is the Badminton World Federation’s schools badminton programme, designed to help teachers and schools introduce badminton to children in a fun, safe and inclusive way.
Badminton Malta supports the development of Shuttle Time in Malta through teacher education, youth leadership and links with schools and educational institutions.
What is Shuttle Time?
The programme provides structured teaching resources, lesson plans and supporting materials so schools can deliver badminton with confidence. The official programme and latest materials are published by the Badminton World Federation.

For Teachers
The BWF Shuttle Time Teachers Course gives teachers the knowledge and practical resources to deliver safe, enjoyable and inclusive badminton sessions in schools.
Training can be delivered through Badminton Malta to groups of interested teachers, subject to demand and arrangements.
Participants gain access to the BWF Shuttle Time teaching resources, including lesson plans and supporting materials.
Youth Leadership
The BWF Shuttle Time Youth Leadership Workshop is designed for young people aged 15–18 who would like to gain experience in sports leadership and badminton.
The workshop develops the knowledge and confidence needed to help deliver fun, safe and inclusive badminton activities for school pupils and can also provide useful experience for young people supporting local clubs.
Badminton Malta can organise Youth Leadership opportunities subject to demand and suitable arrangements.
University & College
The BWF Shuttle Time University Course provides international Shuttle Time education for students studying teaching, physical education and sport-related subjects.
The course combines theory and practical learning and is designed to equip future teachers with the knowledge and resources needed to introduce badminton to children aged 5–15.
