Triple crown national champion and Birkirkara leading player and junior coach Fiorella Marie Sadowski signed a one-year contract with Italian Badminton Serie A team Alba Shuttle.
She will in fact be playing the highest league of badminton, the Serie A in Italy.
The Italian team of Alba and Birkirkara Badminton Club agreed to terms and will see Sadowski playing in this year’s Italian highest league.
It is to note that it’s the first time ever that a maltese badminton player manages to play the Serie A league in Italy, a first for badminton in Malta.
Alba Shuttle wished to strengthen their squad for the upcoming challenge and saw in Fiorella the ideal player who can fit in their plans.
The club has been in the Serie A for this past year and managed to clinge the 7th place.
This year the club has the same objective, that of retaining the Serie A position and avoiding relegation as quickly as possible.
Fiorella will be travelling to and fro Italy depending on her home or away schedule.
Her first appointment will be against Piume d’Argento on Alba’s home soil on the 21st November.
