Following the resignation of Chris Spiteri as president of Badminton Malta, Owen Grech was confirmed as President of the same Association for the coming 6 months, until the next AGM will be held in April 2020.

Owen Grech, a 23-year old University student from Zebbug, has been involved in badminton for the past 10 years.  Owen, an ex-St Aloysius and Junior College student, is currently in his last year at University, studying Tourism Studies.  His 10-year background in badminton, covers him being a player, a national junior champion, a Badminton Malta Council member and General Secretary of Paola BC.  He also held the exiting role of President of PULSE Executive.

Owen’s plan for Badminton Malta, in this short term, is to continue working on the projects and ideas, proposed for this season.  However, he also mentioned, that we shall continue to strive to grow badminton even more and embark on any new opportunities we might come across.
