Everyone is excited to watch the finals

All is set for tomorrow’s Badminton Malta National Championships 2018 Finals. Everything starts at 9am at the National School of Sports in Pembroke. A friendly, family atmosphere but with a lot of action to follow.

Everything starts with the Women’s Singles finals. Reigning champion Fiorella Marie Sadowski will face the Under 19 Junior National Champion Michaela Ellul. Will Michaela manage to finish Fiorella’s dominance in the Women’s Singles or will Fiorella keep marching on?

This match will be followed by another much awaited final. A replay of last year’s final where Matthew Abela has won with 3 games against Stefan Salomone. What will happen this time? For sure it will be a great match!

High paced matches expected in all doubles finals.

In the women’s singles we saw the comeback of two ex-national champions Jo’Anne Cassar and Jacqueline Degiovanni who managed to make it through to the final and will be facing last year’s winners Fiorella Sadowski and Yanika Polidano.

Exciting matches today during the Men’s Doubles Semi-finals, resulting in another much awaited match between current champions Stefan Salomone/Samuel Calì who will be facing the challenge of Nigel DeGaetano/Stephen Ferrante. For sure a game not to be missed! This match will open the afternoon session at 2pm.

We will end these finals with the Mixed Doubles where Stephen Ferrante/Fiorella Marie Sadowski will be playing against Matthew Abela/Jo’Anne Cassar to end the 5 finals and this year’s edition of the BM National Championships. A definitely exciting new format thanks to the support of the National School of  Sports. We look forward for tomorrow’s matches!
