Summer is almost over: a summer characterised by new opportunities, ideas and excitement. We have many new and thrilling things coming up to continue increasing Badminton’s popularity and level.
New Competition
Following feedback from our members and other people who wish to be more involved in the local community, a new competition is being introduced, specifically targeted for social and upcoming players. This will be added to the array of competitions that BM organises and it will offer a bigger opportunity for everyone to play badminton. More info will follow soon.
Badminton Malta Academy
Following the successful Summer Academy, Badminton Malta will continue to work with Sportmalta in developing the Badminton Academy further. A professional setup, which will offer the best for those who would like to take their badminton to their next level. Applications for the Badminton Academy will be out soon!
Technical Assistance from FIBa
With the kind assistance of the Federazione Italiana Badminton, following a very close and respectful relationship between the two federations, the Italian Federation will be assisting BM in its technical development. This will be mainly done with the assistance of the FIBa’s own Director of Technical Development Fabio Morino, who was already among us to deliver the first Coaching Course earlier this summer. This collaboration is now be taken one important step further, that of Fabio Morino having a more direct role in our Association.
